Which exchange to choose ?
Choosing the best crypto exchange is essential. The choice depends on several keys elements that users should be aware of :
Country of Residence
Crypto exchanges must be compliant with applicable country laws. Each exchange has its own restricted Juridiction Policy.
Laws around crypto exchanges are evolving quickly in this domain. We recommend to refer to each exchange news to stay up to date.
For BitMEX users

As of today, EU citizens can use BitMEX platform, including derivatives products which are contracts used for Blackquant solutions.
US citizens are not allowed on BitMEX.
For Bybit users

As of today, EU citizens can use Bybit platform, including derivatives products which are contracts used for Blackquant solutions.
However, Bybit made a decision recently to stop on-boarding of new customers coming for France, effective from Oct 20,2023. If you are a french customer trying to register on Bybit after this date, we suggest to use BitMEX instead.
If you are a french customers that registered before this date, you are compatible to use Blackquant solution.
US citizens are not allowed on Bybit.
For Binance users

As of today, EU citizens can use Binance platform, but does not include the use of derivatives products, which are used by Blackquant solutions. If you are from EU, we suggest using Bybit or BitMEX instead.
US citizens are not allowed on Binance.com
Collateral Asset
Blackquant users can decide which collateral they use as base-currency for Blackquant.
Blackquant solution is only compatible with USDT as collateral for BitMEX and Binance customers.
Blackquant solution is more flexible with Bybit customers as it allows either USDT or other crypto assets such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL) and many more as collateral.
To use non-USDT collateral on Bybit, a Unified Trading Account must be settled.
